During the last three months we have been experiencing a very steady flow of interesting and attractive vacancies for our candidates. There is a subtle but definite new confidence in the market and whilst we can never take anything for granted we are hopeful for a strong start in 2012.

Whether You are an FAE student awaiting results in the months ahead or already a qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) you will be glad to hear that the market has been improving since the start of the summer. A barometer for the current qualified CA market as a whole is that all of the Big 4 firms are seeking Audit, Tax and Corporate Finance professionals. They are working closely with experienced recruitment firms to find strong Auditors in particular, with large client experience either in the Financial Services, ICT or Industry areas.

Considering the downturn in the banking industry an optimistic turn has occurred. According to Erica Skelly Principal Consultant in Careers Register, they are experiencing a major increase in demand for candidates with experience in personal banking or mortgages holding a QFA, part or fully qualified certificate in consumer credit or a certificate in mortgage practice.

I attended the U.S. / Ireland Legal Symposium 2011 in Westport from the 11th-13th May. Last Thursday February 3rd 2011, Cpl ran a very successful event in the cool venue of the Paccar Theatre in the Science Gallery. 132 people from the HR and Recruitment industry attended the event.
