Description:
The successful individual must also be able to provide the full suite of legal/tax services (corporate, contract, regulatory, legal agreements, technical etc.) either directly or through the use of external legal advisors.
The role holder must meet a demanding implementation schedule and will need to partner with both internal and external resource providers; a vital part of the role will be the identification and successful management of interdependencies in support of specific business outcomes.
The role holder will be required to manage resource conflicts, planning issues, legal and regulatory issues, and project issues. The role holder will also be required to give update briefings at the Steering Committee and Exco. It will be a requirement for the role to work closely with Sales team and to support managers to ensure there is a common understanding and shared vision of the product and legal services agenda across the organisation
Responsible for Defining Product Development Strategy.
Creates the Strategic Vision with Senior Management and communicates the priorities, projects and initiatives to all teams.
Acts as a consultant, mentor and support for each team to ensure that they properly manage their strategic initiatives
Makes Presentations to Board of Directors on an “as needed” basis
Programme/Project Management
Plans, directs, and co-ordinates their department portfolio of interrelated projects, to ensure optimum efficiency in the allocation of common resources and skills.
Adherence to the overall strategy
Adherence to budgets, quality standards and delivery schedules
Liaises with internal and external resource providers to ensure that there is clarity of commitment to key goals
Initiates corrective action, as appropriate, to ensure that programme deliverables are produced on time and within budget, resolving resource conflicts, and agreeing additions, deletions or modifications
Product Development & Specification Processes
Oversees development of products in multiple geographies from preparation of Product Specification through to detailing every aspect f the product (e.g. charging structure/lives assured/features/taxation/regulatory/compliance etc.)
Liaises with other functions/external resource providers such as Legal, Compliance, Tax, Marketing and Sales to ensure that product will be fit for launch and on time.

Required / Desirable Qualifications and Experience
Essential to have in depth technical knowledge of European Life Assurance Industry and Products.
Proven Business Analysis and Product development.
Proven Strategic decision maker.
Significant exposure to cross border insurance legal, compliance, tax and regulatory matters/issues.
Relevant 3rdlevel or professional qualification
Minimum 7 years experience at Management level in a relevant role and more than 10 years in Financial Services/Insurance Industry.
Must be mobile and prepared to travel at short notice
